Like the otoshi, a piece of bamboo inserted into a delicate vegetal weaving, the vases are as if composed of two elements: A receptacle tube and its envelope. All held together by a ring of generous proportions borrowed from the necks of Greek aryballos, a quote amplified by the use of terracotta, the workshop’s signature material.
